Megan Ashley Rivera[1] (born April 19, 1992) is a Filipino actress and comedienne who is currently a talent of GMA Network. Before she became an actress, Rivera was known exclusively as Petra Mahalimuyak, a comedic persona she portrayed in her YouTube channel. Her television acting credits for GMA Network include Meant to Be (2017),
Life and career
[edit]Rivera was born on April 19, 1992. Reportedly a Filipino American,[1] she was born in the Philippines and then moved to the United States later in life.[2] In the U.S., she worked as a salesperson of a cellphone store.[2]
Rivera's career as a social media personality took of when her Petra Mahalimuyak videos on YouTube became viral in 2012. According to Rivera, she created the videos merely to entertain herself as she found herself growing bored in Las Vegas, where she moved at the age of 18 and was unable to gamble.[2] Her videos consist of how-tos as well as of celebrities
